Rehearsals
Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30pm at the West End Congregational Church, Withersfield Road, Haverhill, CB9 9LA.
Rehearsals for 2026 will start on Monday January 19th.
You do not have to be able to read music to join the Haverhill Singers and no audition is necessary. You are sure to receive a warm welcome and have the support of other singers around you who will be happy to help and guide you.
About Us
Haverhill Singers is a well established, friendly and lively choir of about 40 singers who all have a love of singing and making music together.
Who are we?
The Choral Union (now known as Haverhill Singers) was formed in 1860 under the direction of Daniel Gurteen and we are delighted that his family have maintained close links with the society to this day. The Haverhill Singers perform a wide variety of repertoire in Haverhill and the surrounding villages.
The Present...
Haverhill Singers are delighted to have Celia Mathews as Chairwoman and in September 2025 we were very excited to welcome our new musical director, Hugh Conway.
Joining the committee this year is Cian Harriss, taking on the task of sourcing and storing the various scores needed by the choir, and Bronwyn Erb, who will be helping on the technical, recording and staging of events. Celia, Hugh and the rest of the committee look forward to welcoming all members old and new to sing together and ultimately to have fun doing it!
