Rehearsals and more about the choir...
Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30pm at the West End Congregational Church, Withersfield Road, Haverhill, CB9 9LA and commencing on Monday 8th January 2024.
You do not have to be able to read music to join the Haverhill Singers and no audition is necessary. You are sure to receive a warm welcome and have the support of other singers around you who will be happy to help and guide you.
About Us
Haverhill Singers is a well established, friendly and lively choir of about 30 singers who all have a love of singing and making music together.
Who are we?
The Choral Union (now known as Haverhill Singers) was formed in 1860 under the direction of Daniel Gurteen and we are delighted that his family have maintained close links with the society to this day. The Haverhill Singers perform a wide variety of repertoire in Haverhill and the surrounding villages.
Mr Christopher Gurteen, our President since 2007, sadly passed away in November 2022. Our condolences go to his family.

The Present...
As of 2022, the Haverhill Singers are delighted to have Celia Mathews as the newly elected Chairwoman and in April 2023 we were very excited to welcome our new musical director, Dr Matthew Olyver.
Celia, Matthew and the rest of the committee look forward to welcoming all members old and new to sing together and ultimately to have fun doing it!
