Upcoming Concerts
Between Shore and Sea
Join us for a lovely concert built around John Rutter’s The Sprig of Thyme, a collection of traditional songs that trace a journey from youth and optimism through love, loss, humour, and experience. These themes lie at the heart of folk and sea music alike — songs shaped not by spectacle, but by our very human experience of life.
Surrounding the cycle are songs associated with the sea: music of departure and return, labour and longing. Whether sung aboard ship, in harbour towns, or at home, these songs gave voice to shared experience and communal memory.
We invite you to listen not as spectators, but as fellow travellers, following voices that move between shore and sea, and between past and present.
Where: West End Congregational Church, CB9 9LA
When: Saturday 27th June 2026 at 7pm
Tickets at £12, accompanied children under 16 free.
